April 28th

Kyro opens his track, April 28th, with the line, “Your smile can light up a dark room”. He carries on to elaborate about the intricacies of relationships. Swiftly rapping around Timmies and Shiloh's, ‘Tell Me Why’, Kyro looks back at a relationship and the variety of feelings that come with love while bringing a new meaning to the sample.

Kyro made the track as a Junior in High School and released it the next year. Around 4 AM, after having already made and finished another song, ‘Go Home’, he ended up working on a new track. Focusing on Rap while trying to figure out the bigger picture, his first EP ‘Break from Kyro’ came out in 2018. He then made ‘April 28th’ as an attempt to push his sound further.

A lot of versions of ‘Tell Me Why’ were circulating around that time and Kyro settled on one he found on TikTok. His style is improvisational and he doesn’t waste time writing words down. He brings us into his story as if we were there, without compromising a thought. Like his more recent material, Kyro finds the right balance between self-expression and musical eloquence.
