Nicaragüense Rapper, Poppa Chi, Breathes New Life into Red-Hot Latino Urbano with Upcoming Release, Kulin Ku

After storming the Latino Rap scene with a wave of successful singles, Poppa Chi has captivated listeners with his bilingual lyrics and international connections. In his upcoming release on January 27th, his single, Kulin Ku, promises that Poppa Chi has no plans of slowing down. Born in Nicaragua, and boasting listeners worldwide, Poppa Chi’s music features lively, innovative beats with the unmistakable rhythmic ambiance of Latino rap. 

Drawing inspiration from fellow Latin Hip Hop artist, Vico C, who he says his “diverse style of never following the status quo” helped him create his own innovative style in the genre. “I grew up in Nicaragua where everybody listened to something different.” He credits his style to the “old reggae, tribal sounds and afro-reggaeton” he was exposed to in his childhood. “I’m a poet first - I write all of my art, it’s important to me to have a visual storytelling message [in my music]” He explains of his upcoming release, another contribution to his musical storyline. He says that listeners can expect videos for each of his releases in due time.
