“Arcade Darling” is the dazzling new eight-song EP by this week's featured artist, 22-year-old Tucson native Jeo. Jeo’s EP keeps true to its name with songs about the bright lights and colors of classic arcade games and compares that game play experience to his journey with a level he couldn’t overcome: love. Jeo affectionately describes the work as his very own digital love tragedy.
The songs on Arcade Darling are heavy on synth, bass and melodic singing. The vocals are smooth, and Jeo delivers a performance that is sure to have the listener wanting to sing along with him. “New Frequency” stands out as a key track not just for its vocals but also the wavy, electronic sound and crisp drums. “Spaceship lowrider” also offers a great collab with artist Tk3k (aka. Antoine Cruz).
