‘Story of A Hometown Loser’

This week’s featured artist is NIkeBoyOcta, the 20-year-old Ohio native with many of his own stories to tell on his new project, “Story of a home-town loser.” His raw vocals and lyrics bring to life the tale of an artist that has been enduring everything life can throw at him from heartbreak to legal trouble, to battles with addiction.

The theme of ‘hometown loser’ is a “narrative of everything I have been going through recently, and I put together songs I hope that people can relate to and feel uplifted by.” NIkeBoyOcta does this with flair and style, merging EDM beats with punk and rock elements on trap vocals and guitar riffs. This amalgamation of sound creates a whole new genre for NikeBoy. 

 ‘Furniture’ and ‘Airballs’ are key tracks to look out for. Their alternative sound and high to low energy tempo are perfect for blasting on the speakers as NikeBoyOcta sings his heart out on the track.
